Over the last five years, the team at Big Room Inc. a Certified B-Corporation based in Vancouver Canada, has built a strong foundation of groups that care about preserving this online space. This team understands the importance of a .ECO that reports to the Environmental Community.

The Team is responsible for all of the logistics, communications, technical requirements, financial obligations and accountability mechanisms associated with applying for .ECO.

The Meridian institute, which is a non-profit based in Washington, DC, has been facilitating .ECO’s development from the very first regional meeting in 2009. Led by one of their top professionals, Kristy Buckley, the Meridian Institute has guided .ECO’s policy makers to a place of unanimous consensus.

Afilias has been involved with .ECO from the very beginning, providing their diverse expertise in internationally distributed domains. Under their guidance .ECO will operate with leading Internet technology.
