Project Dirt
Project Dirt was set up by a couple of mates, Mark and Nick, who wanted to make green living easier and more understandable. They wanted to facilitate sustainable activity taking place and to make learning more accessible. They also believe green living should be an upgrade, it should be fun – and it should be progressive.
Project Dirt was started on the current test site in Clapham Junction in April 2008, with 1 project and 5 members. The Project Dirt community has since grown to its current size through word of mouth.
The site provides individuals, community groups, companies, organisations and the government (mainly local authorities) a platform to come together and work on tangible green projects. It also allows people who want to be greener a means of learning through real world examples.
